Sometimes I come across the damnedest signs. These two made me laugh.

A few days prior to Thanksgiving, I went up to New York and wandered around in Central Park– my favorite park ever.

(*Sigh*) Watching this video makes me smile. I had a personal goal prior to photographing the happy couple and that was I would pay attention to their energy while incorporating my vision of Love and Lifestyle. I wanted to hear their laughter and see their playfulness. After compiling the images and generating the slide show, my response to my personal goal was… CHECK!

Jordan and I were on a quest to do some urban scenes. We started out at Piedmont Park to get some portraits that mom and dad were sure to love. We played around at the park for a while– I was waiting for just about the right time as the sun was going down to photograph Jordan with the backdrop of Midtown but my plans were spoiled by another photographer. A WEDDING photographer!!!!!!!!!
We were there FIRST (dang it), but I didn’t put up a fight as I have photographed many weddings before and there’s no way to do a re-shoot and getting formals done is a race to beat the clock. A wedding trumps– common courtesy. So the shots with the Midtown skyline was shot in complete darkness. The AF couldn’t even find Jordan. I kept telling him to Stay there!, Don’t move. Wait, wait….Hold it Right There!!!!!
During the shoot, I had to revert to Chuck Arlund’s instructions I learned at After Dark - NOLA. I had an arsenal of ‘things’ in my gear bag to use to direct light. Thank goodness because my OCF malfunctioned so I had to place Jordan in certain spots for the light to hit him just right, bounce my flash, put a secret gadget over the flash head to direct light–especially while shooting in the tunnel. It was challenging but we had fun and best part was the DQ Blizzard at the end of the shoot. Good job Jordan!!!!!

I went to a Mexican Fiesta last month… It was hot, Hot, HOT!!! There wasn’t very much to photograph but I tried to make the best of it. I was surprised that there was such a low turn out in the Mexican community. It made my mind wonder.

I’ve been on a quest to capture the essence of fall this year. So far, it’s kind of scetchy if I’ll get the images I really, really want.
I have more to post, but I feel that I need to post something since I’ve been working so hard to get the Blog going again.
Here are two images I made while foliage hunting with on of my friend from my photography club.
